Mohave County Fair offers weekend of fun, agriculture, and entertainment

The Mohave County Fair is now in full swing, offering a diverse array of activities centered around agriculture, arts, and entertainment. Celebrating its 78th year, the event carries the theme “Growing Fun Memories,” reflecting the community’s commitment to honoring local customs and talents.

With the efforts of over 50 staff members and volunteers, preparations have culminated in an event that previously attracted 24,000 visitors. Jeremy Palmer, Parks Administrator, praised the hard work of county personnel along with 4-H and FFA groups, acknowledging their significant contributions. “It’s been a joint effort to make it the most successful ever. We’re heading in the right direction, for sure,” he stated.

This year’s fairgrounds have seen enhancements exceeding $30,000, including upgrades to fire panels, electrical systems for livestock stalls, and the addition of energy-efficient lighting. Such improvements aim to create a better experience for both vendors and visitors alike.

The fair runs through Sunday, with hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and concluding from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the final day. Carnival activities hosted by Brown’s Carnival kick off at noon on Friday, while Sunday festivities begin at 10 a.m., providing fun throughout the weekend.

Expo Halls will remain accessible from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Saturday, featuring reduced hours on Sunday. Parking is complimentary, and ticket prices range from $5 to $12, with options for four-day wristband passes available for attendees.
