A family in Hidden Valley fears for the safety of Isabella Yu, a 12-year-old girl who has been missing since February 13. She disappeared from her grandparents’ home in Mesa around 10 p.m. Her aunt, Taylor Yu, shared concerns that Isabella may be heading toward California or Texas.
Isabella reportedly communicated online and has claimed to be older than her actual age. The family hopes this information will assist in locating her. Described as 5-foot-4 with brown hair and brown eyes, Isabella was last seen wearing a purple shirt and a red sweatshirt emblazoned with “OCB.”
She was last spotted near the intersection of McKellips Road and Horne in Mesa. Those who might have information regarding her whereabouts are urged to contact the Mesa Police Department at 480-644-2211 or the Missing in America Network tip line at 1-844-642-5678.
The case is part of a larger issue, with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children reporting that Arizona currently has 216 missing children. The urgency of this situation highlights the importance of community awareness and vigilance.
