UPDATES: Missing 94-year-old man found unharmed

UPDATE 3:48 p.m., Aug. 26, 2024: Maricopa police have confirmed that 94-year-old James Bullock, who suffers from dementia, has been found safe. He was located unharmed south of Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino on John Wayne Parkway.

The circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain unclear, but he was reported missing, and police acted swiftly. Bullock was located within 28 minutes of the initial notification to InMaricopa.

ORIGINAL STORY 3:37 p.m., Aug. 26, 2024: Authorities urged the public to be on the lookout for a missing at-risk individual. James Bullock, who has dementia, left his home earlier today in a silver van.

The vehicle is identified as a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country with a Nevada wheelchair license plate number 69349. It was last seen in the vicinity of State Route 238 and Green Road before heading back toward Maricopa.

As of this time, police have not released a description or photograph of Bullock. Residents who have seen the vehicle are encouraged to contact the Maricopa Police Department at 520-568-3673 or dial 911 immediately.
