Miraculous Escape: Early Morning Rollover Leaves Everyone Unscathed

Maricopa police responded to a rollover crash on Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway early this morning.

The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. near a work zone west of Stonegate Road, close to the Home Depot construction site. A Toyota Prius overturned and landed on its roof.

According to MPD spokesperson Monica Williams, the driver managed to exit the vehicle unaided and did not require hospital transportation. Authorities do not suspect impairment as a factor in the accident.

Brian Petersheim Jr. reported the incident. He joined InMaricopa as a multimedia intern in October 2020, focusing on organizational tasks and event photography. After graduating from Maricopa High School in 2021, his internship became a full-time position, with his role expanding to include writing by October 2021. Brian is currently studying at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, with an emphasis on public safety reporting.
