Minor Injuries Reported in Edison Road Crash
Minor injuries were reported following a collision between a silver Honda Accord and a blue Ford F-150 Sport in Maricopa on November 19, 2024. The incident occurred near the intersection of Edison Road and John Wayne Parkway around 12:45 p.m., according to Monica Williams, spokesperson for the Maricopa Police Department.
Emergency responders from the Maricopa Police and Fire and Medical Department quickly arrived at the scene. By 1:05 p.m., paramedics were attending to the driver of the Honda Accord, examining their injuries.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the collision was a result of the Ford F-150 striking the passenger side of the Honda. The impact activated the airbags, though Williams noted that the injuries sustained seemed to be minor.
The accident caused a temporary blockage of westbound traffic on Edison Road. A tow truck arrived by 1:19 p.m., while officers continued to gather information from the vehicle occupants.
This incident highlights the ongoing need for careful driving, especially at busy intersections.
