The Wild West Music Fest is set to commence this Friday, featuring a diverse roster of artists for its second annual celebration. With headliners taking the stage at 8 p.m. on most nights, festival-goers can expect an exciting atmosphere filled with various musical genres.
Friday kicks off the festival with local talent. DJ Nicasio, known for his work with 104.7 KISS FM and as the Arizona Diamondbacks’ resident DJ, will start the evening at 5 p.m. His set promises a compelling mix designed to energize the crowd.
Following Nicasio, Chris Villa brings his unique blend of funk, hip hop, oldies, and Latin beats at 6:30 p.m. The Chicago rapper Twista, famed for his album “Kamikaze,” takes the stage at 8:10 p.m. before early 2000s R&B singer Baby Bash, who will perform hits like “Suga Suga” at 9 p.m.
Saturday continues the musical journey with country-themed performances. Opening at 2:20 p.m. is Lacey Rashea, a young trio from Gilbert that showcases smooth vocals. Bobby Joe Bell follows at 3:50 p.m., providing a mix of new and classic country tunes for line dancing enthusiasts.
At 5:20 p.m., Nik Kent and her band will keep the country vibe going, leading into Harry Luge at 6:50 p.m. Luge’s sound is described as a blend of Travis Tritt and Waylon Jennings, promising an exciting performance before the headliner, LeAnn Rimes, captivates the audience at 8:15 p.m. with her timeless hits.
Sunday rounds out the festival with a variety of genres. Phoenix’s own loveyoubye takes the stage at 2:15 p.m., delivering a high-energy mix of 80s rock, punk, alternative, country, and indie. The afternoon continues with the Taide Band, presenting a fusion of reggae, funk, hip hop, and Latin beats at 3:45 p.m.
At 5:15 p.m., The Hourglass Cats, known for their unique “Funky Fresh Sonoran Reggae” sound, will perform before the Kruse Brothers return to Maricopa at 6:45 p.m. The festival concludes with Yachtzilla at 8:15 p.m., featuring some of the best yacht rock and smooth rock classics.
