Healthcare? Don’t care: Medical van caught on camera trying to get T-boned

In a troubling incident on Smith-Enke Road, a video captured by Aaron Keel, owner of Maricopa Dashcam, highlights concerning driving behavior in Maricopa. The footage shows a vehicle affiliated with Terros Health, a Phoenix-based healthcare provider, running a red light and narrowly avoiding an accident.

Terros Health offers primary, pediatric, and mental healthcare services in the Valley. Despite their policy requiring employees to hold a valid Arizona driver’s license and meet certain driving experience criteria, adherence to traffic laws seems to be overlooked by at least one driver.

Glennwilde resident Joe Campbell expressed frustration, suggesting that questions should be raised regarding the driving competency of Terros Health employees. “Someone should call and ask if they check if their drivers know how to drive,” he stated.

InMaricopa has reached out to Terros Health seeking clarification on whether the driver in question faced any disciplinary actions. This incident is not the first time Terros Health has attracted negative attention.

The company, which carries a single-star rating on Yelp, has faced criticism for allegedly deceiving clients and was involved in a lawsuit over employee discrimination. In 2021, blog allegations surfaced against Terros Health, claiming they gaslighted a vulnerable patient.

Additionally, former employee Pamela Ballard accused Terros of discrimination and retaliation related to her disability, though a Phoenix judge ultimately ruled in favor of the company.

A reminder for all drivers in Maricopa: obey traffic signals for safety, as running a red light could lead to serious consequences. For reference, a green light indicates it’s safe to proceed.
