McDonald’s Unveils Exciting Extended Summer Hours!

SAN FRANCISCO — McDonald’s is set to extend late-night hours across the U.S. this summer, providing customers with more opportunities to indulge in their favorite treats. The chain announced that the “vast majority” of its locations will remain open until midnight or later, allowing for those late-night cravings.
However, some restaurants, particularly in shopping malls and airports where late hours are restricted, will not participate in this initiative. Specific launch dates have yet to be disclosed, though a spokesperson highlighted that the changes will coincide with the onset of summer.
In a statement, McDonald’s emphasized the joy of late-night dining, expressing excitement over the increased service hours. Alongside the extended hours, the company has introduced new menu items, including McCrispy Strips and Creamy Chili Dip—marking their first permanent additions in four years.
Additionally, there is buzz about the potential return of the beloved snack wrap, initially mentioned by McDonald’s USA president Joe Erlinger last year. Although fans will have to wait until 2025 for its comeback, enthusiasm for the item remains high.
This expansion comes as McDonald’s anticipates substantial growth, projecting the hiring of up to 375,000 employees this summer. The company also has its sights set on reaching a global total of 50,000 restaurants by 2027.
Customers are encouraged to check with their local McDonald’s for participation in the late-night hours, ensuring they can take full advantage of the extended service.
