MCC adding two certificates and a new associate degree to offerings

KINGMAN — In a significant move, the Mohave Community College governing board has approved two new certificate programs this March. One of these programs transitions from a non-credit carpentry course to a formally recognized certificate. This change aims to enhance vocational training and provide students with industry-recognized credentials.

Additionally, the board introduced a new associate degree pathway specifically for medical sonography students. This pathway is expected to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in the healthcare sector and equip students with the necessary skills for success in the field.

These developments reflect the college’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities and responding to workforce needs within the Mohave region.
