PHOENIX — A significant drop in temperatures is expected this weekend, with the possibility of rain making its way into the Valley.

Currently, a stable weather pattern will linger through the week, keeping temperatures close to seasonal averages. However, a powerful weather system is set to impact the desert southwest this weekend, bringing stronger winds and much cooler conditions, along with potential rain in some areas.

Expect unseasonably low temperatures to continue into early next week, followed by a gradual warming trend by midweek.

FRIDAY: High of 94°F, Low of 69°F. Warm with abundant sunshine.

SATURDAY: High of 94°F, Low of 66°F. Mainly sunny and breezy.

SUNDAY: High of 79°F, Low of 56°F. Windy and much cooler.

MONDAY: High of 76°F, Low of 60°F. Mainly sunny and mild.

TUESDAY: High of 80°F, Low of 61°F. Partly cloudy and cooler than usual.

WEDNESDAY: High of 86°F, Low of 63°F. Mainly sunny.
