Havasu’s Frontline Workers | Marjorie Richardson

Marjorie Richardson, who immigrated from Canada, has taken on a new role welcoming travelers to Arizona. Since joining the London Bridge Resort in 2019, she has embraced the vibrant community of Lake Havasu City after a three-decade career that led her to this sunny destination.

Research conducted by Richardson’s husband played a crucial role in their decision to move to this area. “I just love living in the U.S. and Havasu,” she shares, highlighting her appreciation for the local climate and her enjoyment of her job.

Richardson’s enthusiasm for guest service shines through in her interactions with visitors. With a background in hospitality, she ensures a positive experience for everyone she encounters at the front desk.

Her upbeat personality is infectious, often accompanied by a touch of humor. When asked how she copes with stress, she quips, “I just try to be calm and then call the manager.”

Among the most rewarding aspects of her role are the camaraderie with her team, interactions with guests, and the dynamic nature of her work environment. “I just cater to everyone, make sure they’re having a good time, and try to get a five out of five,” she stated, underscoring her commitment to excellence in customer service.
