Maricopa’s 85138 Sizzles as One of America’s Hottest Zip Codes!

Maricopa is making waves in the real estate market, with recent data placing the area’s zip code 85138 among the 20 hottest in the United States. According to analysis from OpenDoor, a Tempe-based brokerage firm, homes in this region are selling at remarkable speeds.
The U.S. Census revealed Maricopa as one of the fastest-growing communities last year. This new ranking from OpenDoor serves to reinforce that trend. The company measures a “hot” zip code by how quickly properties sell after being listed, and Maricopa homes are among the quickest nationwide. Notably, it holds the distinction of being the only Arizona community featured on this esteemed list.
Brady Murray, owner of the Maricopa Real Estate Company, expressed that this finding aligns with what many have been observing in the local market. He attributes the area’s appeal to available land, a reliable water supply for construction, and affordable housing options for young families. “New homes here start in the low 300s,” Murray explained, emphasizing the stark contrast to nearby cities like Chandler and Gilbert, where prices escalate into the 400s.
As for the competition, most of the other top-performing zip codes come from Texas, Florida, and the Carolinas, with Texas dominating the top four spots:
- Katy, Texas – 77493
- Cypress, Texas – 77433
- San Antonio, Texas – 78253
- New Braunfels, Texas – 78130
- Summerville, S.C. – 29486
- Forney, Texas – 75126
- Yukon, Okla. – 73099
- Clarksville, Tenn. – 37042
- Parrish, Fla. – 34219
- Kyle, Texas – 78640
- Davenport, Fla. – 33837
- McKinney, Texas – 75071
- Winter Garden, Fla. – 34787
- Saint Augustine, Fla. – 32092
- Haines City, Fla. – 33844
- Palm Coast, Fla. – 32137
- Venice, Fla. – 34293
- Maricopa, Ariz. – 85138
- Ocala, Fla. – 34473
