**Public Notice: Scoping Meeting for Maricopa-Stanfield Irrigation & Drainage District Project**

The United States Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) in Arizona is evaluating funding for an initiative led by the Maricopa-Stanfield Irrigation and Drainage District (MSIDD). This project aims to enhance irrigation water supply for local farms within the MSIDD service area. The NRCS is serving as the lead federal agency, and funding could come from the Watershed Protection and Flood Prevention Act of 1954 (Public Law 83-566).

Located in Pinal County, Arizona, the proposed project is subject to review under the National Environmental Policy Act. This requires assessing any potential environmental impacts with public input playing a crucial role in the evaluation process.

Residents are invited to participate in an upcoming in-person public scoping meeting, where project details and various resource issues will be discussed. Attendees will be encouraged to share their thoughts, suggestions, and concerns regarding the project alternatives.
