Mark V. Loen, a resident of the Villages of Rancho El Dorado, has made a bold claim: he believes Albert Einstein’s renowned theory of special relativity is flawed, and he asserts he has the evidence to back it up.

If validated by the scientific community, Loen’s theory could significantly alter our understanding of fundamental physics.

Einstein’s special relativity is a cornerstone of modern science, explaining the interconnections between speed, mass, time, and space. It is built on two principal concepts: the constant speed of light and the universality of physical laws.

Loen contends that Earth’s gravitational field is the true origin of special relativity, a stance he elaborates in his recently published paper, “The Kinetic Relativity Theory – Hiding in Plain Sight.” This work emerged after a rigorous review by fellow scientists, who deemed his insights credible and worthy of further exploration.

“It’s crucial because it reveals the actual mechanisms at work, indicating Einstein may have been mistaken,” Loen explained. “For scientists, understanding this is essential to grasp the intricacies of our universe.”

A physicist, engineer, and patent agent, Loen has delved into the subject of special relativity since October 2019. He analyzed over 30 experiments tied to Einstein’s theories before deriving his conclusions.

“I hope this will pave the way for additional experiments, helping us better comprehend the warping of space and time around moving particles,” he stated.

In simpler terms, Loen’s theory could provide insights akin to the concept of warp speed depicted in science fiction.

“The practical implication is a deeper understanding of nature and potentially answering whether warp drive is feasible,” he remarked. “Much like the adventures in Star Trek, we must explore if concepts like that are indeed possible.”
