The average sales price in Maricopa now stands at $380,000, notably cheaper than nearby Buckeye, where homes average $465,000. Both cities offer about a 40-minute commute to Phoenix, making them appealing alternatives for commuters.
In comparison, Surprise and Goodyear have higher average home prices at $474,900 and $489,700, respectively. The disparities grow larger when considering Tempe and Chandler, with average prices over $536,000, positioning Maricopa as around 30% more affordable.
Within Pinal County, Maricopa is slightly costlier than Casa Grande, which sits at an average of $370,000. However, regions like Eloy and Florence present even more budget-conscious options, with homes averaging in the mid $200,000s.
Arizona City, known for its rural atmosphere, has an average home price around $300,000, making it another option for those seeking affordability. Maricopa, once home to just 1,668 residents, has experienced significant growth, now boasting a population nearing 75,000.
While the city has evolved, its appeal in housing prices remains steadfast. With its location and amenities, Maricopa continues to represent the best deal for housing in the region, a trend that has persisted for two decades.
