The Maricopa Chamber of Commerce has made a notable return to its original location at the Maricopa Manor Business Center, marking a significant shift for the organization. This transition, which occurred last week, followed a period spent in leased space at Estrella Gin Business Park.
Executive Director Kelly Anderson expressed her enthusiasm for the new beginnings, stating, “I’m really excited. It feels nice to get a fresh start for the Chamber at the beginning of the year.” This change signals a commitment to enhancing services for local businesses.
Among the new offerings is office space for small business owners seeking to transition from home environments to a more professional setup. Anderson explained, “It’s for folks who are looking to get out of their garage, get off their kitchen table and who are ready to take the next step for expansion.” This initiative is designed to support local entrepreneurs in their growth.
The relocation comes after the expiration of the Estrella Gin lease and follows a tumultuous period when the City of Maricopa ended a sub-lease agreement with the chamber over a year ago. Anticipation surrounds further developments as Anderson alluded to more “exciting” changes ahead for the organization this year.
“We’ve got a lot of really exciting things, really new and innovative things happening this year that we haven’t done before,” she noted. The new, vibrant office space is expected to contribute positively to the chamber’s renewed energy and focus.
