On February 6, 2025, Chef John Howard presented a sophisticated dish at Mandy’s Wine Bar: wild mushroom and cauliflower orzo served with scallops. This special attention to flavors aims to attract visitors amidst Valentine’s Day celebrations.

Mandy’s Wine Bar has curated a delightful menu for the occasion, designed by owner Amanda Atler. “We still have people who are coming in for their first or second time, so we didn’t want to restrict our menu to only a few options,” Atler stated. Since opening the wine room in August, she hopes to showcase a variety of dishes, ensuring patrons discover the full culinary experience offered.

The featured dish, wild mushroom and cauliflower orzo, expertly combines earthy flavors with a creamy texture, creating a fulfilling yet light meal. Atler recommends pairing it with Crossbarn chardonnay for an elevated dining experience.

In addition, another standout is the breaded chicken Milanese served over pappardelle pasta. The dish is enriched with creamy white wine sauce and house-made pesto, balancing light flavors with deeply satisfying ingredients. “The breadcrumb seasoned with herbs, combined with a light cream sauce, allows the vibrant pesto to shine,” Atler explained. It’s suggested to accompany this dish with Harvey and Harriet white blend, noted for its fruity accents.

The celebration at Mandy’s Wine Bar also includes a sweet touch, with long-stem chocolate-covered strawberries available for patrons looking to add romance to their evening.
