Man Succumbs Weeks After Central Phoenix Brawl

PHOENIX — A fight that occurred on December 30, 2024, has escalated into a homicide investigation following the death of 65-year-old Lincoln Guest. Initially hospitalized with what were deemed non-life-threatening injuries, Guest succumbed on January 14 after spending two weeks in medical care.
The incident took place near 7th Avenue and Buckeye Road. Authorities confirmed that Guest’s injuries, which did not appear serious at first, ultimately led to his passing. The police department reported that on January 16, the medical examiner’s office officially classified the death as a homicide, prompting an enhanced investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fight.
