Man Injured in Major 3-Car Pileup on SR 238

The leftmost lane on State Route 238 is blocked following a rear-end collision involving a silver Honda Civic and two work trucks from NorthStar Communications Inc. The accident occurred around 4 p.m. on December 9, 2024, near the intersection with Costa Brava Avenue.

Maricopa Police, along with Fire and Medical Departments, responded promptly to the scene. Public safety spokesperson Monica Williams confirmed that while two vehicles sustained significant damage, a third vehicle experienced only a minor impact described as a “love tap.”

The Civic suffered heavy front-end damage, with the airbags deployed. Reports indicate that the driver of the Civic, a male, has sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment.
