Major Projects Like Lowe’s and Apex Secure Permits in Last Month’s Surge

Groundbreaking activities have commenced at the site of the future Lowe’s Home Improvement on Honeycutt Avenue, marking a significant development in the area. As of August 26, 2024, several permits have been issued for various construction projects throughout the region.
During the period from July 8 to August 9, several notable commercial permits were approved. Apex Landco received a revision permit specifically for a race garage, with American Technologies named as the contractor. Meanwhile, Honeycutt Luxury Rentals obtained five permits for the construction of garages and maintenance buildings at Honeycutt Run. Additionally, Ironwood Ranch secured a permit for a 600-square-foot patio, along with five permits for a new maintenance building and clubhouse, contracted by Colorado Structures.
Other developments include a tenant improvement permit for K’Bella Spa located at 45004 W. Garvey Ave., valued at $16,000. Legacy Traditional School also received approval for a 1,500-square-foot shade structure, estimated at $14,000. The upcoming Lowe’s Home Improvement store has been allotted three permits with an impressive total value of $21.7 million. The Queen Creek Fiesta site at 44460 W. Edison Road has a tenant improvement permit, awarded to Laurshan Construction, while Rondo Pools and Spas will oversee the swimming pool and spa installation at the Villas at West Maricopa Village.
In the residential sector, Century Communities is set to build six homes in The Lakes at Rancho El Dorado and four in Tortosa. D.R. Horton plans to construct eleven homes in Sorrento and three in The Lakes at Rancho El Dorado, while Gehan Homes has permits for four homes in the same community. K. Hovnanian Homes is also constructing one home in Rancho Mirage and thirteen in Santa Rosa Springs. Additionally, KB Home is moving forward with one home in Tortosa and seven in Desert Passage. Lennar has been approved for three homes in Anderson Farms, and Meritage Homes received permits for thirteen homes in Rancho Mirage and eight in Province, while Richmond American Homes plans to build fourteen in The Lakes at Rancho El Dorado.
