‘Major Accident’: Riggs Road Closed in Both Directions

A significant motor vehicle crash has led to the closure of a four-mile section of Riggs Road, particularly affecting the area near State Route 347. Multiple agencies have confirmed the incident.

The Gila River Police Department announced via a statement at 7:30 p.m. that “Riggs Road is closed in both directions between Interstate 10 and SR 347 due to a serious motor vehicle collision.” They advised the public to steer clear of the area and seek alternate routes.

The Arizona Department of Transportation also corroborated the closure of the Riggs Road intersection at State Route 347. The GRPD expressed gratitude for the public’s patience and cooperation amid the situation.
