Lowe’s Sets Sizzling Grand Opening Date!

Six months after Lowe’s Home Improvement broke ground at Maricopa’s South Bridge Marketplace, the store is focusing on its opening date. Residents are eager to know when they can start shopping.
Recently, InMaricopa shared a Facebook reel showcasing construction crews installing large signage on the store’s façade. The video quickly amassed 60,000 views as locals shared insights on the anticipated opening date in the comments.
Tina DiPietrantonio-Stapleton, a resident of Maricopa Meadows, revealed that she interviewed for a position at Lowe’s last week. During her interview, a hiring manager mentioned a mid-July opening. Additionally, Peggie Jonas, a current Lowe’s employee from Rancho El Dorado, confidently asserted that the store would open on July 17.
A corporate spokesperson for Lowe’s, Michael Allinger, clarified the timeline. He confirmed that the estimated opening is now set for late July, emphasizing that this date is subject to change.
Lowe’s plans to expand into Maricopa following a competitive move by The Home Depot, which opened in the area last September. Although construction commenced later than expected—in November rather than early last summer—progress has been consistent. Recently, builders have been finalizing the exterior work, and the city granted Lowe’s a permit for a 94,000-square-foot commercial racking system valued at $175,000.
