Local Landmarks Program Celebrates the Legacy of Cave Creek Memorial Arena

On March 20, the Cave Creek community will honor the Cave Creek Memorial Arena with a prestigious Local Landmarks award. This event, facilitated by the Cave Creek Museum, aims to celebrate sites that contribute to the town’s heritage. The ceremony is scheduled to commence at 10 AM.

The arena’s history is deeply rooted in public service, dating back to when the Bureau of Land Management allocated lands for public enjoyment. Over 45 years ago, it hosted its inaugural Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) sanctioned event. This annual gathering has since become a hallmark of the community, supporting various local non-profits and enhancing the arena itself.
