LIVE UPDATES: Key Developments on Day 4 of Lori Vallow Daybell Murder Conspiracy Trial

Lori Vallow Daybell has pleaded not guilty to a murder conspiracy charge linked to the alleged plot to kill her niece’s ex-husband, Brandon Boudreaux. In a notable decision, she is representing herself in this high-profile case.
On Tuesday, Vallow Daybell is expected to continue her cross-examination of a Gilbert detective as her trial unfolds. This marks her third trial in as many years. The drama surrounding her legal battles has drawn significant public interest.
According to investigators, Vallow Daybell’s brother shot at Boudreaux outside his Gilbert residence in October 2019. Fortunately, Boudreaux was not injured, but a bullet shattered his car window during the incident.
Vallow Daybell’s past includes a conviction in Idaho, where she was found guilty of charges related to the deaths of her children, Tylee and JJ, as well as conspiring to kill her former husband.
Last week, tensions escalated in the courtroom, requiring the judge to have Vallow Daybell removed at one point. Monday’s testimony took a more technical direction, featuring various witnesses discussing evidence and investigative methods.
As the trial continues, updates will be provided by 12News journalist Erica Stapleton, present in the courtroom to report ongoing developments. The trial is set to resume with the jury at 10:15 a.m.
Previously, in 2023, Vallow Daybell was sentenced to life in prison in Idaho for the murders of her children and for her involvement in the death of Tammy Daybell, her current husband’s first wife. Chad Daybell, her husband, was also convicted and received a death sentence in Idaho.
In a separate legal proceeding in Maricopa County, Vallow Daybell was convicted for conspiring to kill her former husband, Charles Vallow, in July 2019. Her brother, Alex Cox, is believed to be a co-conspirator but faced no charges due to his death prior to the filing of charges.
For this trial, twelve jurors will deliberate, with three serving as alternates.
