The Arizona Community Foundation (ACF) has re-launched its Latinos Unidos initiative, highlighted by the first-year grant awards of the Latinas in Philanthropy & Service (LIPS) giving circle during a significant event on September 5. Titled “United for Arizona | Unidos por Arizona,” this gathering attracted prominent Latino leaders and advocates dedicated to enhancing community efforts.

“Latinos comprise a significant portion of Arizona’s population, yet they are vastly underrepresented in the philanthropic sector,” stated Anna María Chávez, Esq., president and CEO of the Arizona Community Foundation. “Latinos Unidos is a movement designed to change this narrative and empower Latino generosity. This event served as a powerful platform to showcase the incredible work being done by Latino leaders and organizations across our state.”

The initiative aims to foster a more equitable philanthropic landscape in Arizona by offering resources and support for Latino donors and organizations. Additionally, the LIPS giving circle unites committed Latinas who focus on creating a brighter future for their communities.
