Lake Havasu City Resident Nabbed for Dangerous Drug Possession

A Lake Havasu City man was apprehended early Saturday morning after authorities discovered he was in possession of dangerous drugs intended for sale, along with drug paraphernalia. The arrest followed a traffic stop executed by local law enforcement.
Sgt. Kyle Ridgway reported that the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit, part of the Mohave Area General Narcotics Enforcement Team, had been conducting an investigation into drug sales in the area, focusing on methamphetamine distribution.
At approximately 4:45 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle near State Route 95 and Retail Center Boulevard. K-9 Echo, assisting in the operation, indicated the presence of narcotics. The driver, identified as 52-year-old Raymond Martinez, was subsequently discovered to carry 37 grams of methamphetamine, valued around $1,110.
Martinez was arrested and charged with serious drug offenses. He was held on a $10,000 bond and has since been transferred to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office for further processing.
