Kroger Store Closures: Check Out the Latest List of Locations Going Dark Nationwide

WASHINGTON — Kroger has announced plans to close approximately 60 stores across the United States within the next 18 months. Some of these closures will occur in the coming weeks.
The grocery giant’s CEO indicated that these moves are aimed at streamlining operations and enhancing the customer experience.
Kroger, the largest supermarket chain in the nation, operates 2,731 stores across 35 states and the District of Columbia. Its portfolio includes various brand names such as Smith’s, Ralphs, King Soopers, and Fred Meyer.
A spokesperson for Kroger stated that the company would not release a comprehensive list of affected locations. However, local media and labor unions have identified several stores scheduled for closure across different states.
