K9 Karma Sniffs Out Danger: Two Arrested for Meth and Fentanyl Possession
Maricopa—Two men, Marcor Farr and Cory Baker, both 34, were arrested earlier this week following a traffic stop that uncovered significant amounts of illegal drugs. The incident occurred on January 21, 2025, when police initiated a stop on a 2020 white Kia Optima at John Wayne Parkway and Edison Road around 1:30 p.m.
During the stop, officers noted inconsistencies in the accounts provided by both men regarding their relationship and intended travel. This prompted the deployment of K9 Karma, who conducted an open air sniff of the vehicle, resulting in a positive indication for narcotics.
A subsequent search revealed substantial quantities of illegal substances. Officers discovered approximately half a pound of methamphetamine and cash contained in a backpack. Additionally, 25 fentanyl pills were located in a concealed compartment in the center console, alongside a meth bong and several unmarked credit cards. Officers found straws typically used for smoking fentanyl in Baker’s pockets.
Both Farr and Baker now face multiple felony charges, including possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of narcotics for sale, and transporting dangerous drugs for sale. Baker also faces a charge related to a parole violation.
The men have been booked into the Pinal County Jail as the investigation continues.
