Judge Orders Glendale to Reevaluate Rejected Hotel Worker Wage Initiative
A local labor organization is taking legal action against the city of Glendale for blocking a citizen-led ballot initiative aimed at increasing the minimum wage for hotel and event center workers. The initiative, if approved, would have been on the November ballot.
On Monday, a Maricopa County Superior Court judge granted an early victory to the organization by issuing a preliminary injunction. This decision mandates the city to proceed with processing the initiative while the legal battle continues in court.
