InMaricopa has been nominated for a prestigious accolade at the upcoming Maricopa Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Awards Banquet on January 25, 2025.

This prominent news outlet is one of five contenders for the Pillar of the Business Community Award, according to Kelly Anderson, the chamber’s executive director. Anderson highlighted the collaborative spirit among chamber members, who nominated businesses they felt deserved recognition for their contributions.

“As the community has grown, the InMaricopa staff has excelled in covering essential local news,” Anderson stated. “Given our geographical distance from Phoenix, InMaricopa has effectively served as a trusted hometown news source.”

Vincent Manfredi, owner of InMaricopa, expressed gratitude for the honor. “It’s incredibly rewarding to be acknowledged by fellow business professionals in the city for the dedication we put in every day,” he remarked.

The Pillar of the Business Community Award recognizes a Maricopa business and chamber member that has made a “significant positive impact” over the past year. Criteria include involvement in community initiatives, adherence to sound business practices, notable achievements that enhance the community’s reputation, and maintaining a strong local standing.

Other nominees for this coveted award include Global Water Resources, Water and Ice, Thai Chili 2 Go, and Kooline Plumbing Heating and Air.

The chamber will also honor nominees in various categories such as Nonprofit of the Year, New Chamber Member of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Sonny Dunn Citizen of the Year, and Renate Chamberlin Volunteer of the Year.

Nominations and voting wrapped up last month, with winners set to be announced during the awards banquet at the Elements Events Center, located at 16000 N. Maricopa Road, Suite 200. Attendees can look forward to this year’s themed event, “The Big Game/Tailgate Party,” with tickets available for purchase on the chamber’s site.
