InMaricopa Chamber Unveils 3 Bold Marketing Strategies for the Digital Era
On September 4, 2024, the Maricopa Chamber of Commerce held a Marketing Workshop and Happy Hour at Native Grill and Wings, where local business owners gathered to explore marketing strategies relevant to the Digital Age.
The event spotlighted the importance of utilizing social media, while still acknowledging traditional print advertising methods. Tawni Proctor, client services account manager at InMaricopa, emphasized the gap that many business owners face between their skills in their trade and their marketing capabilities. “This was a great opportunity for current advertisers and entrepreneurs alike to gather and learn marketing strategies,” Proctor said.
The workshop aimed to help participants understand the distinctions between print advertising, digital marketing, and social media presence, highlighting the value of integrating all three approaches. Proctor added that attendees also learned about how the Chamber could assist in retaining customers, building credibility, and creating websites for members.
Proctor and Chamber Director Kelly Anderson presented key information throughout the event. Following a recent survey of InMaricopa’s advertisers, it became clear that many were unaware of the various resources available to assist business growth.
Guest speaker Dr. Kristina Donnay from Maricopa Wellness Center shared insights on how her monthly advertorials have established her as an authority in her field, attracting new clients through informative content. Similarly, Lori Riley of Ride347 attributed her new airport shuttle service’s success to the grand opening package produced by InMaricopa, which resulted in numerous customer inquiries and demand for additional shuttles.
911 Air Repair owner Ray Nieves recounted how he transformed his business over seven years, growing from a small directory ad to a substantial advertising presence. His return on investment has reportedly tripled since partnering with InMaricopa. Chamber Director Anderson reinforced the Chamber’s role as an essential support system for local businesses, facilitating networking events and encouraging community involvement.
Attendees expressed their surprise at the resources available to them and were eager to learn more about customized membership options and advertising packages. Proctor announced plans for another workshop in January, focusing on specific marketing strategies and real-world success stories.
All local business owners and current advertisers are encouraged to participate in future workshops. For more information, interested parties can contact Proctor at 520-568-0040 or via email.
