Section of I-10 will be closed this weekend near Chandler, Tempe

PHOENIX — A significant closure on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 is set to take place this weekend near Chandler and Tempe. This closure, scheduled to begin on Friday at 10 p.m. and conclude by Monday at 4 a.m., aims to facilitate essential pavement marking work.

The Arizona Department of Transportation has indicated that the affected portion of the highway will be between US 60 and Loop 202. Motorists traveling eastbound are advised to use alternative routes, such as Loop 202 or US 60, which connect to Loop 101 and eventually lead back to I-10. For drivers in the West Valley, utilizing Loop 202 will be the most effective detour during this period.

In conjunction with the main closure, multiple ramps will also be unavailable to traffic. Specifically, all southbound SR-143 ramps leading to eastbound I-10, the westbound US 60 ramp to eastbound I-10, and the HOV ramps linking I-10 and US 60 will be closed.

Additionally, from Friday at 8 p.m. until Monday at 4 a.m., the eastbound I-10 on-ramps at Broadway, Baseline, Elliot, Warner, and Ray roads, along with the eastbound US 60 on- and off-ramps at Mill Avenue, will be inaccessible.
