Humane Society Hosts Exciting ‘Duck Derby’ Event Under London Bridge

This past Saturday marked a festive occasion beneath the London Bridge as thousands gathered for the Western Arizona Humane Society’s annual “Duck Derby.” A cherished tradition spanning nearly 30 years, the event transformed the calm waters into a vibrant spectacle of rubber ducks racing toward glory.

Participants purchased tickets, priced at $5 each, correlating to numbered ducks that were set adrift. With prizes ranging from $1,000 to $50 awaiting the lucky winners, excitement filled the air as volunteers stationed along the finish line prepared for the influx of colorful competitors.

The Duck Derby stands out as one of the Humane Society’s most significant fundraising events, showcasing community spirit and support for animal welfare. On October 25, the organization will further honor this dedication during the “Duck Derby Celebration” at the London Bridge Resort Convention Center, celebrating the contributions of participants and local supporters alike.
