Hobbs Orders Flags at Half-Staff Wednesday to Honor Fallen Phoenix Police Officer

Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs has announced that flags at state buildings will be lowered to half-staff on Wednesday, September 18. This gesture is in honor of Phoenix Police Officer Zane Coolidge, who tragically passed away on September 6 after being shot while on duty on September 3.

In a heartfelt statement, Governor Hobbs expressed her sorrow, remarking, “I am devastated by the senseless loss of Officer Coolidge. My heart is with his family, the Phoenix Police Department, and the entire law enforcement community during this incredibly difficult time.” She emphasized the importance of honoring Officer Coolidge’s bravery and the ultimate sacrifice he made to ensure the safety of Phoenix.

Officer Coolidge served with the Phoenix Police Department for five years and is remembered by loved ones, including his wife and daughter.
