Farmer Boys, the Southern California burger franchise, may soon expand its footprint into Maricopa, although no official confirmation has been made yet. The establishment has a longstanding connection with Hickman’s Family Farms, which operates a chicken ranch located at Murphy and Peters-and-Nall Roads on the outskirts of the city.

For nearly a decade, Hickman’s has been the primary supplier of eggs for over 100 Farmer Boys locations across Arizona, California, and Nevada. In a promotional video released last year, Glenn Hickman, President and CEO of Hickman’s Family Farms, recounted how their partnership began: “We walked into a Farmer Boys to get a hamburger and noticed they offered an exciting and extensive breakfast menu. We’ve been servicing them with California eggs ever since,” he explained.

Despite challenges, including a recent bird flu outbreak that resulted in the culling of 1.1 million hens, Hickman indicated that their partnership will likely continue if Farmer Boys successfully navigates the local development process. Eggs feature prominently on Farmer Boys’ menu, being included in offerings from breakfast to dinner, such as egg sandwiches, various omelets, and a chopped cobb salad.
