Heroic Rescue: Woman Freed, Child Hurt in Porter Collision

Two vehicles were involved in a collision near Porter Road and Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway on March 27, 2025, resulting in injuries for two individuals. The crash took place around 3:30 p.m. near the entrance to Santa Rosa Springs on Iron Point Road.

Maricopa firefighters deployed the Jaws of Life to extricate a woman from a Mazda sedan shortly after the incident. She was promptly transported to a local hospital for treatment.

At the scene, a young child was observed with a head injury and was being evaluated by emergency medics.
