Heroic Rescue Unfolds as Extrication Team Responds to Rollover Crash in Santa Rosa Springs

A rollover crash occurred at the intersection of Porter and Iron Point Roads in Santa Rosa Springs just after 8 a.m. on February 25, 2025. The incident, which involved two vehicles, prompted a swift response from the Maricopa Police Department (MPD) and the Maricopa Fire Department.
Initial reports indicate that a grey SUV overturned, landing on its roof in the intersection. The airbag deployment and damage on the passenger side were evident, while a grey Honda Civic sustained front-end damage. Debris included a downed street sign and shattered glass scattered across the roadway.
According to MPD spokesperson Monica Williams, two adult drivers were evaluated on-site, with one being transported to the hospital for minor injuries. The incident caused significant traffic disruptions; northbound Porter Road is restricted to one lane, and southbound traffic is closed, redirecting drivers to Iron Point Road towards Sonoran Desert Parkway.
