Woman in serious condition after escaping house fire


PHOENIX — A woman is hospitalized with serious injuries after escaping a mobile home fire on Tuesday night. Authorities from the Phoenix Police Department report that the incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. near Beardsley and Cave Creek roads.

Emergency crews arrived to find smoke and flames engulfing the structure. They promptly entered the home to search for any potential victims and to work on extinguishing the blaze.

The woman had managed to flee the scene before firefighters arrived but suffered from smoke inhalation and burns. She was transported to the Arizona Burn Center for critical care.
