Havasu’s newest Main Street establishment Golf n’ Brews serves up indoor fun

Golf n’ Brews has emerged as a new attraction on Main Street, offering an innovative indoor golfing experience for both novice and skilled players. The business, which opened its doors on July 3 during a particularly sweltering summer, has garnered a positive response from patrons.

According to co-owner JP Thornton, the facility boasts an advanced indoor golf simulator that features access to 106 PGA golf courses and over 25 different games. The diverse lineup includes sports like soccer, baseball, and miniature golf, as well as family-friendly activities such as dodgeball.

Jayneen Thornton emphasized the need for more recreational options in Havasu, stating, “This is an opportunity for people that don’t have those other amenities to enjoy a fun product that is adult, kid, and family-friendly.” Reservations for gameplay can be made online or by phone and are structured in one-hour increments.

The fee for a reservation is set at $60, accommodating either individuals or groups. For those who may not be familiar with the simulator, staff members are available to assist. Players are encouraged to bring their own golf clubs but must use the provided equipment for non-golf games.

The simulator offers real-time analytics, tracking performance such as swing speed and yardage, allowing guests to pick up right where they left off during their next visit. JP Thornton pointed out the strategic location of Golf n’ Brews, making it accessible for both residents and visitors who frequent downtown.

In an exciting development, the Thorntons revealed plans for a new three-story venue next door, which will house additional simulators and lounges. JP noted that this new space aims to serve as a gathering hub for the community, enhancing the vibrancy of Main Street.

In addition to entertainment, the establishment features an extensive beverage menu, including chilled tap beers, seltzers, and mocktails. Happy hour takes place from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., offering discounted drinks. While no food is served on-site, customers can order from nearby restaurants, with partnerships in the works for various dining options.

The couple offers several discounts aimed at Havasu’s diverse population, including specials for seniors, first responders, veterans, and local business owners. The venue also provides sports programming, allowing patrons to watch live games.

“Our goal is to bring more things to the community,” said JP Thornton, reflecting on their long-standing connection to Havasu. Golf n’ Brews is located at 2018 McCulloch Blvd. N. Unit A, with hours extending from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until close on Friday and Saturday. After 8 p.m., entry is restricted to individuals aged 21 and over.
