Havasu Goes Haunted: Spooktacular Halloween Events Take Over All Week
Halloween festivities are set to light up Lake Havasu City on Thursday, featuring an array of exciting events suitable for all ages. Among the highlights are two new additions to this year’s celebration.
Lake Havasu City Candy Crawl
Launching its inaugural event, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office will host the Lake Havasu City Candy Crawl from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at The Shops at Lake Havasu. Families can look forward to viewing patrol cars and boats, meeting some K-9 dogs, and collecting candy from various booths set up by the department.
19th Annual Main Street Halloween Fright Night
From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., downtown Lake Havasu will transform into a Halloween wonderland during the 19th Annual Main Street Halloween Fright Night. Vehicle traffic will be prohibited as vendors set up booths throughout Main Street, providing games, face painting, balloon magic, karaoke, and an abundance of food and candy.
Parks & Rec Spooktacular
For the first time, the Parks and Recreation department will present the Parks & Rec Spooktacular. This free event, taking place at Rotary Park from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., promises trunk or treating, costume displays, and a movie screening for attendees.
Additionally, Mount Olive Lutheran Church will host a Trunk or Treat event from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., featuring dinner, games, and candy at 2170 Havasupai Blvd. Similarly, Hilltop Church invites families to its Halloween Carnival from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at 3180 McCulloch Blvd.
As a bonus, the November First Friday event will follow this week, themed ‘Fall into Friday.’ Attendees can explore over 60 local artists displaying their crafts, alongside fair games and a mini scarecrow-building competition set for 7 p.m. The event will stretch across Main Street from Mulberry Avenue to Smoketree Avenue, running from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
