Havasu Fire Department Swiftly Douses Warming Blaze at Body Beach
Authorities quickly extinguished a prohibited warming fire in Havasu on Wednesday evening.
The Lake Havasu City Fire Department reported the incident occurred at Body Beach, a well-frequented recreational spot.
Fire Chief Peter Pilafas stated that Engine 5 was dispatched to handle the situation. The single-engine crew successfully put out the fire.
According to local regulations, warming fires must be at least 10 feet away from any structure. Additionally, only firewood is allowed as fuel for such fires.
As of Thursday afternoon, no further details regarding the incident have been released.
