ProMusica Arizona Chorale and Orchestra is calling on local talent for their 2024-25 season auditions. Scheduled for Monday, Aug. 19, and Tuesday, Aug. 20, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., these auditions will be held at All Saints Lutheran Church, located at 15649 N. 7th St.
The upcoming season is described as a compelling musical voyage, with the first show, “It’s a Circus!”, taking place on Oct. 19 and 20. Rehearsals commence in September, with the Chorale meeting on Monday evenings and the Orchestra on Tuesday nights, both at the same venue.
Prospective chorale members need intermediate music reading skills and previous choral experience. For the orchestra, musicians should have advanced intermediate proficiency or higher. Instrumentalists are expected to perform standard orchestral excerpts during their auditions.
Auditions are set strictly by appointment. Interested candidates can schedule their audition and review repertoire requirements by visiting www.pmaz.org and navigating to the “Audition” tab. Alternatively, they can contact artistic director Patti Graetz at pgraetz@pmaz.org or 602-570-4458.
