Gunfire Erupts at Prescott Valley Park, Police Report

Witnesses reported to police that an exchange of gunfire occurred between two pickup trucks at the south end of Mountain Valley Park in Prescott Valley.
PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. — A person is now in custody following a shooting incident at a local park, according to the Prescott Valley Police Department.
Officers responded to calls regarding shots fired at Mountain Valley Park around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Eyewitnesses stated that individuals in two pickup trucks exchanged gunfire between the basketball courts and the dog park. A red pickup truck reportedly fled the scene before authorities arrived, along with several individuals on foot.
Police have identified all individuals involved, and one man has been taken into custody. No injuries were reported, and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
