In November, BLT Kitchens announced the winners of its Entrepreneurship Grants, totaling $31,500. The company received numerous applications from local small businesses eager for support to launch their brands.
Glory Fraizer, owner of Classix Bartending LLC, secured the first-place position. She will benefit from a year of paid rent and storage at BLT Kitchens, along with an exclusive mentorship package. This package includes professional guidance in areas such as branding, public relations, and marketing, facilitated by experts including BLT Kitchens co-owners Kyle Hollenbeck and chef Tommy D’Ambrossio, among others.
Classix Bartending, a private event dry-hire bar service, caters to clients who provide their own alcohol. Fraizer, leveraging ten years of experience in hospitality and mixology, identified a gap in mobile bartender services. Her business not only offers fresh mixers and bar setups but also designs custom drinks for events, easing the stress of planning.
“I am so excited and grateful for this incredible opportunity,” Fraizer stated. “Winning this grant helps build Classix Bartending and reinforces that others believe in my vision. With the support from BLT Kitchens, we are poised for growth and expansion.”
BLT Kitchens recently inaugurated its third commercial kitchen in Glendale. Its other locations in Phoenix and Mesa have experienced significant growth, accommodating over 250 food business tenants who prepare products for food trucks, farmers’ markets, and restaurants.
In celebration of the new Glendale location, BLT launched an Entrepreneurship Grant program, awarding professional support to three businesses. Dr. Alexis McNeill of Detox Desserts and Cesar Aguilera Navarro of Holy Egg took second and third places respectively, receiving rent credits and mentorship as well.
