The Arizona Humane Society (AHS) has received a $12,000 grant from the Grey Muzzle Organization to enhance support for senior dogs. This funding plays a crucial role in AHS’s effort to keep older pets in loving homes rather than shelters.

Through its Bridge the Gap program, AHS aims to provide financial assistance to pet owners facing hardships. This initiative ensures that struggling families can access necessary veterinary care for their senior pets, like Odi, who recently benefited from this program.

Odi, a 10-year-old dog belonging to Christopher, experienced severe health issues, rendering him unable to walk. Faced with hefty veterinary bills, Christopher turned to AHS for help. Thanks to the Grey Muzzle grant, Bridge the Gap successfully covered the full down payment for Odi’s essential medical care.

Odi’s case illustrates the tangible impact of Grey Muzzle’s support in improving the lives of both pets and their owners. The partnership with AHS is vital in helping keep families together during difficult times.
