Pedestrian killed on SR 347 ID’d as Goodyear woman, 45

A tragic incident unfolded on State Route 347 Thursday night, resulting in the death of a 45-year-old woman from Goodyear, Arizona. Medical examiners have classified her death as a suicide, according to reports from InMaricopa.

At approximately 8:45 p.m., Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesperson Raul Garcia Jr. stated that state troopers were dispatched to a pedestrian-vehicle collision near Casa Blanca Road. “The pedestrian was hit by multiple vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene,” he remarked.

Andre Davis, investigations supervisor for the Pinal County Medical Examiner’s Office, confirmed the woman’s identity. A death certificate indicated she succumbed to “multiple blunt impact injuries” consistent with a fatal accident. However, Davis refrained from sharing further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Respecting the family’s wishes, InMaricopa has withheld the woman’s name. Prior to the incident, she and her partner documented their travel plans on Facebook, revealing they were set to drive their white Jeep pickup loaded with belongings to Baja California for Valentine’s Day.

Footage captured by Maricopa commuters shows the same Jeep, still filled with items, at the crash site. Investigators are urging anyone who might have information on the incident to reach out via 877-4AZ-TIPS or submit a tip online at AZDPS.gov/Tips with reference to incident report ID I25011107.
