Jenece Mordt, a resident of Glennwilde, has experienced a remarkable transformation after adopting a carnivore diet, leading her to launch a new YouTube channel called Carnivore Granny.

Just days into this diet, Mordt felt relief from debilitating pain that had plagued her for nearly two decades. “It was a crippling pain,” she recalled. “I was on the couch for two years, having multiple back surgeries and procedures, and still could barely function.”

Struggling with fibromyalgia and chronic shingles, she often found herself bedridden, dependent on a cocktail of medications. However, after transitioning to a meat-based diet, she said, “It was amazing, years of that pain were gone.”

Now, a year and a half later, Mordt has regained her health and energy, exercising freely and spending quality time with her granddaughter. She plans to share her journey on her YouTube channel, which is set to debut on New Year’s Day.

Her insights on the carnivore diet gained attention recently when she appeared as a guest on the Australian podcast “No Carb Life,” discussing her reasons for adopting this lifestyle.

The carnivore diet, which restricts consumption to animal-based products like meat, dairy, and eggs, has garnered popularity through social media. Celebrity endorsements from figures like Jordan Peterson and Joe Rogan have contributed to its widespread appeal.

On platforms like Instagram and TikTok, the #carnivore hashtag features over 2.5 million posts and more than 225,000 videos, showcasing the experiences of those following the diet.

Mordt’s introduction to the carnivore diet stemmed from her pandemic-era interest in nutrition, sparked by online discussions about historical human diets. Partnering with her husband, she fully embraced this approach in mid-2022.

Her typical meals now include burger patties, copious amounts of bacon, steak, and occasionally fish or pork, amounting to around 3,500 calories daily.

Through her vlogs, Mordt aims to educate viewers about nutrition, conduct interviews with local ranchers and butchers, and share her experiences. Initially planning two videos a month, she hopes to increase her output as her channel grows.

“I just never thought I could feel so good. It feels like I know a secret and just want to tell everybody,” she expressed. “I just want to be positive and hope it inspires others to get healthier.”

Carnivore Granny will officially launch on January 1, offering a glimpse into a life changed by a revolutionary dietary choice.
