Gilbert Developer Expands with 3 New Storefronts on Smith-Enke

Maricopa is set to welcome a new office building, following a recent application from Pillar Companies. This construction will take place on an undeveloped lot located near the intersection of Desert Greens Drive and Smith-Enke Road.
The plan, detailed in a pre-application narrative and site blueprint submitted to the city, reveals intentions for the building to be part of the Maricopa Grand Professional Village. Principal Curtis Kelner emphasized that the project aims to maintain harmony with the surrounding community, stating it “would not negatively impact the neighbors.”
A site map indicates that the new office building will be adjacent to existing locations, including the Trend Spa and the Desert Greens office rental company.
Pillar’s proposal outlines approximately 5,200 square feet of air-conditioned office space. The facility will host three separate suites, catering to a variety of professional needs.
Additionally, the site is positioned near the Pinal County Public Health Clinic and Mandy’s Wine Bar, enhancing its appeal to a broad range of potential tenants.
The application was submitted in late February, with public documents released on March 3. While InMaricopa reached out to Pillar Companies for further insights on the project timeline and leasing options, no response was available by press time.
Notably, the site is zoned for general business. This designation allows for various types of businesses that could thrive in the area, aligning with the city’s economic development goals.
