Warming up this week

Temperatures are on the rise across Arizona, with the potential for some isolated rain in the high desert regions later this week.

In Phoenix, after an enjoyable Saturday filled with sunshine, the forecast for Sunday indicates a shift to increased cloud cover. Expect lower desert temperatures to range from the mid to upper 70s, while high country areas like Flagstaff will see highs around 55 degrees. Phoenix is anticipated to reach 77 degrees, notably above the normal high of 71 degrees for this time of year.

As we look into the week ahead, the trend is clear: warmer weather is on the horizon. Lower desert areas can anticipate reaching the 80s, particularly as Phoenix approaches and exceeds this mark next weekend.

While the majority of the state will remain dry under calm conditions, two weather systems are expected to pass north of Arizona, bringing isolated rain showers primarily to the High Country, Rim Country, Navajo Nation, and White Mountains. Snow may also occur in the highest elevations, although precipitation amounts are projected to be minimal.

For the upcoming week, mild weather will dominate the high deserts, maintaining comfortable conditions.
