On Saturday, expect lower desert highs to hover around the upper 70s, with higher regions such as Flagstaff reaching around 55 degrees. Phoenix is predicted to approach 80 degrees under clear skies; typically, this date sees an average high of 72 degrees.

The warm conditions will persist into Sunday, benefitting attendees of spring training games. Valley highs are expected to climb into the lower 80s, while the elevated regions will experience temperatures in the 60s and 70s.

A ridge of high pressure has taken hold, expected to influence weather patterns into the following week. Meteorologists anticipate temperatures will peak, especially on Wednesday and Thursday. By Thursday, Phoenix is likely to officially surpass 90 degrees for the first time this year, well ahead of the average first occurrence on March 31. Historically, the earliest 90-degree day recorded was on February 17, 2016.

Looking ahead, a shift in weather is expected as low pressure moves in next weekend, which will lower temperatures and introduce cloud cover. Despite this system, the long-range forecast remains dry for now.
